"God… Will It Actually Happen?"

"God… Will It Actually Happen?"

Have you ever been there?
Where you’re standing in the middle of your life, looking around, thinking:

“God… will what You promised me actually come to pass? In real life? Like, not just spiritually, not just in my journal, not just in other people’s testimonies… but here? In my life? Please.”

I’ve been there.
Maybe once too many.

And it’s not just a fleeting question. It’s that quiet ache that follows you around all day. You’re smiling, working, attending the meetings, texting back, going to church, trying to keep hope alive. But deep down, something whispers:

“What if it doesn’t happen?”
“What if I heard wrong?”
“What if God changed His mind?”

And I know, I know the right answers.
I know His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).
I know He’s not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).
I know the plans He has for me are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

But sometimes, in the messy middle, knowing the right answers doesn’t make the waiting easier. Or the silence less loud.

Sometimes, I just want to say, "God, I trust You… but I’m tired. I believe… but help my unbelief" (Mark 9:24).
I’ve been holding onto the word You gave me, but my arms are shaking now.

And maybe that’s where faith becomes real.
Not when everything’s clear, or easy, or exactly how we imagined it.
But in the middle of the “not yet.”
When hope looks like choosing to believe again—today.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)

So if you’ve ever been there—or if you're there right now—
This is just a simple reminder: You’re not alone.
And you’re not crazy for wondering.
And you’re not faithless for asking, “God… will it actually happen?”

Because He sees you.
He remembers what He said.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you…” (2 Peter 3:9)

Even if it feels like everything’s still on pause…
God hasn’t forgotten.

Hold on.
Even if it’s just by a thread today.
That’s still faith.
And He honors it.

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her.” (Luke 1:45)

The Lord has you right in His hands. Everything will work out in its right time.

Love,

Queen Smith
